In this module, students begin to understand how to use ICT to classify information and present their findings in the form of simple charts or graphs. Students start to understand how they can use graphs and charts to answer questions or compare information.
Students should be able to sort and classify properties of objects, e.g. sports played by classmates. They should be able to use ICT to create a tally chart or data table, or to enter the data into graph/chart software.
Students use the information they have entered to create two different but simple graphs or charts, e.g. pie and bar.
Students can answer specific simple questions from the graph/chart they have created, e.g. ‘Which sport was the least popular?’ or ‘How many girls play tennis?’.
At the end of this course, student will take the ICT Starters Assessment of Initial Steps Stage 1 Module 3 : Starting Graphs.
Cambridge Certification is available at TWO stages.
